WHAT IS AN AURA SPOTLIGHT?
Aura Spotlight is a curated feature where we highlight a creative, artist, or maker whose work and story we believe deserve more visibility. It is meant to showcase people who have a distinct voice, a compelling creative practice, or a story that aligns with Aura’s mission of celebrating authenticity, craft, and community.
We do the reaching. Aura Spotlight is not an open casting call. We identify people we want to spotlight and contact them to set up a short interview and a shoot or portrait feature. That said, thoughtful submissions are welcome and may be considered, but submission does not guarantee placement. Selections are based on fit with the current theme, editorial direction, and availability.
A typical Spotlight includes a short bio, 3–6 editorial images or portraits, and a brief Q&A or artist statement that gives context to the work. Most Spotlights are published as an Instagram post or carousel and saved to our Spotlight highlight. When a feature fits a print theme, we may expand it into a magazine spread for a future issue.
If you are selected, expect to be available for a scheduled shoot or interview, to share final posts on your channels, and to give Aura permission to use the images and text on our social platforms and in print with full credit. Aura Spotlights are editorial features and are generally unpaid.

Send a short bio, 2–3 recent images or portfolio links, and a brief note about the story you want us to tell. Because we curate and limit how many spotlights run per issue, many submissions may be waitlisted for a future edition.
WHAT IS A PAID CONCEPT SHOOT?
Aura Concept Shoots are planned, styled, and directed creative photo sessions built around a unique theme or vision chosen by the Aura team. Each concept is carefully designed from the props and set styling to the wardrobe direction and overall mood, so that every participant can step into a fully realized, editorial-quality shoot without needing to plan a single detail themselves.
Unlike Aura Spotlight (where we hand-pick the feature), Concept Shoots are open to anyone whether you’re a creative, a model, or someone who’s never been in front of a camera before. The only requirement is paying the participation fee, which covers:
Access to the styled set, props, and creative direction
Outfit guidance or help styling your look to fit the concept
Posing ideas and coaching during the shoot to make you feel confident
Your final edited images for personal use
Concept Shoots are more than just a photo session — they’re a chance to be part of Aura’s visual world. The photos are often featured on our Instagram and may also appear in Aura Magazine if they fit the current theme.
We run only a limited number of spots per shoot to keep the quality high and the experience personal. Once a shoot sells out, the next opportunity will be for the following concept.

How to submit into AURAMAGAZIINE?
Aura Magazine runs on a submission based model meaning there are specific periods when we open the door for creatives, artists, and models to send us their work or concepts for potential inclusion in our upcoming issues.
We only accept submissions during designated dates, which will always be announced first via our social media platforms and here on our official website. Each issue has a theme or vision, and we encourage submissions that fit the creative direction for that specific release.
For our debut issue Rise of Aura, Issue 001 submissions are open now and will close on September 15. We are accepting only 25 submissions for this issue to keep the quality high and the curation intentional. Once those slots are filled, any additional submissions will be considered for the following issue instead. This is your chance to have your work or image published alongside other talented creatives and be part of Aura’s visual story.
