Ayden’s Journey Behind the Lens

Ayden first picked up a camera as a high school sophomore in his photojournalism elective, and it didn’t take long for the spark to catch. Borrowing a school camera, he began documenting moments with friends—portraits filled with personality, framed by the casual joy of hanging out. The feedback from those early shoots lit a fire that’s been growing ever since, especially now that he’s dedicated himself to practicing more consistently.

Photography, for Ayden, is more than just snapping a picture—it’s about attention to detail. Whether it’s the perfect light, intentional composition, or listening to how his client envisions the shot, every element works together to capture a subject’s true personality. It hasn’t been without challenges; learning color grading, nailing focus, and finding the right white balance all came from trial, error, and persistence. But those early mistakes shaped his skillset, pushing him to create sharper, more balanced, and thoughtfully edited images.

Recently, Ayden launched his own portfolio page—something he credits in part to the confidence he gained from working with Aura Magazine. Through Aura shoots, he learned how props, outfits, and settings can align to create a planned aesthetic, making post-production smoother and the results even stronger. His advice for other creatives? “Stay consistent. If you do it every day, you’ll only get better—use your imagination and try as many new ideas as possible.”

Looking ahead, Ayden plans to keep his momentum going, connecting with as many people and creatives as possible. He believes every person has their own story worth telling—and through his lens, he’s determined to share them all.
